When you time a race, RaceTraceTiming stores the race you set up, the start list you import, and the times you record. An account is optional and exists so your races follow you to another device.
RaceTraceTiming shares engineering with RaceTraceTiming and nothing else. Accounts, races and results live in a separate database; nothing is shared between the two products, and no account carries over.
A start list belongs to your race and is visible only to you until you publish. It may contain participant names, ages and team affiliations, because that is what timing a race requires. We don't use it for anything else, sell it, or share it.
Publishing is an explicit action that makes results readable by anyone with the link and lists the race in the public archive. Published results show names, times, places and any division or team you entered — never dates of birth. You can unpublish at any time.
A race that hasn't been published is unlisted: reachable only by its code, absent from the archive, and not indexed by search engines.
We keep standard web server logs for security and troubleshooting. We don't run third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
Deleting a race removes it and all of its times and entries from our servers. Deleting your account removes the account and the races it created.
