Get started

RaceTraceTiming is in active development. Here's how to time your first race.

1 Install

RaceTraceTiming for iOS is in TestFlight while we finish the first release. Email us to be added to the beta.

2 Set up your race

Name it, pick mass, wave or interval start, and import a start list — or skip that and time by bib.

3 Time it

Pre-Start sets the clock, then Post and Impulse record finishers. Share the race code so anyone can watch live.

Want in on the beta? Email support@racetracetiming.com with the race you're planning to time and we'll send a TestFlight invite.

Preparing a start list

RaceTraceTiming reads any CSV. It looks for these columns and lets you remap anything it guesses wrong:

ColumnAccepted namesRequired
Bibbib, number, no, #Yes
Namename, first/last, athlete, runnerRecommended
Ageage, dob, birthdateFor age-group awards
Gendergender, sex, m/fFor age-group awards
Teamteam, club, schoolFor team scoring
Wavewave, start, heatFor wave starts

No start list? Time by bib and add names afterward — the finish order is correct either way.
